A Young Women

Sorry this is a couple of days late or a day late. We have had a busy two days here. Destiny turned 12 on Thursday Oct. 23rd. The picture above is of a poster the Young Women from our church made for Destiny. They surprised her by putting it up while she was at school.

Destiny's friends from school decorated her desk for her birthday. Some even gave her gifts. This just shows us (Matt & Kristie) that we made a good decision to move our kids to Lincoln Academy the students are so nice to each other and the classes are small so everyone can get to know each other. On Friday Oct. 24th we had Destiny's Birthday Party. She invited 14 girls, 12 came. It started at 7 pm and ended at 11 pm. They had a fun time playing Dance Dance Revelotion on the XBOX. Mom even gave it a try. Eating a lot of junk food. Destiny even made up a game she called Commericals. Destiny collected a lot of different items from around the house then the girls got in groups and came up with a commerical for the items they choice. It was so funny. We recorded it on the camcorder. When they where done we played it so everyone can see how funny they where. After that Destiny opened her gifts, had some popsicles, cake and watch a movie to help calm them down. When the movie was over there was more Dance Dance Revelotion and then jumping on the trapoline. To sum it up it was a long fun night. Mom didn't get to bed until 12 am after cleaning. Dad fell asleep at 9:30 or so with Megan.

Flag Football & Cheerleading

For the last 6 weeks we had the chance to experience Flag Football with Jayson and Cheerleading with Destiny. Tonight was the last game for both and boy was it cold. Jayson loves football unfortunately he had a very bad coach. Most of the time Jayson just made jokes with is mom but, he made the most out of it and had fun. The only position Jayson ever played was blocker, he knows that position very well now. We hope next year he gets a better coach. This is the sport he wants to continue through Junior High and High School.

Now for Destiny! Her mom hopes she will continue cheering also. Tonight she was the caption of the squad. She did a very good job no matter how cold she was she kept cheering. All the other girls on the squad complained about the cold not Destiny she kept cheering. One thing is for sure she's got the voice for it. It must run in the family.

Life in the FAST LANE!!!!!

Matt was working on a car dealership in Bountiful back in August. Every Thursday they had a safety meeting and a raffle for prizes. This peticular week they had a raffle to drive the owner's personal collection of muscle cars. Matt WON!

He drove this Dodge Viper V10

This is Elenor from Gone in 60 seconds. Matt thinks it was more like 30 seconds!

This set is 1 of 1.

This Toyota Supra was the quickest especially when the turbo kicked in.

This was a COOL engine! There aren't many like this. There was over 700 horsepower.

What am I doing??

Ok! Since Matt and I have a lot of family outside the state of Utah I thought maybe I should set up a blog spot so our extended family can read what is going on in our day to day life. To be honest with you I have no idea what I am doing and how I do this. I sure hope I am doing this right and get the hang of it really quick.

So here is just a little update that has happened in our family. Destiny will be turning 12 on Thursday the 23rd. So today at Church she was reconized for her achievements she has done in church. Matt and I are so proud of her and how much she has grown into an young lady. It surprises us that she is getting so big. We both feel that she is still this little princess. One thing Matt and I have always know about Destiny is that she is very mature for her age and independent. It scares us to think that she is four years from driving, six years from being an adult, six years from college and give or take seven years from being married. I have been told once the oldest is out the rest will follow faster then you thought. That scares me since Sean and Jayson are only 10 months apart I will have two leaving my home together. I was asked today at church from our bishop if I was happy that Destiny will be out of Primary and in Young Women's? I told him no, this means she is growning up and I am not ready for that. She is such a great help to us and we learn so much from her and to know that she is not our little girl is scary. I think is has to do with her being the oldest.

Just a quick note I am not a very good speller so if you see a word missed spelled please forgive me now. Matt always laughes at me when ever I text him because I always miss spell something.

Well I hope I did a great job with our first blog.
